BOOGIE NIGHTS
Back 2 The Future Funk, mate !
AUSTRIA'S WUNDERKIND
Dorian Concept has already made a name for himself at the more forward thinking beat parties around Europe, bringing his exemplary production skills to the live stage with Ableton and his trusty Microkorg keyboard. Dorian's mix of sticky funk and twisted electronic chord changes from experimental hip hop to jazz, funk, and electronica is tearing up sound systems all over the world.. When it comes to his music making, Dorian brings that essential childlike playfulness with a big pair of booties. He has become renowned for his energy fuelled live performances, amazing audiences worldwide by his ability to construct crazy but dance floor friendly beats. Well you just need to see him play live to understand why!
BIASONIC EXPERIENCE
Dave Jones, AKA Zed Bias, Maddslinky... is the Manchester based producer and DJ from deep within the UK dance music scene. One of the true innovators of UK Garage, his releases helped set the blueprint for the darker Garage sound at the end of the ‘90s, and with his many side projects he has also taken things into a jazzy, soulful direction. He's also known for his countless productions as Phuturistix, Maddslinky, The Henchmen, remixed everyone from Whitney Houston to The Streets, worked with the likes of Miss Dynamite and Amy Winehouse, and with 'Neighbourhood' even had a Top 30 chart hit. His DJ sets fuses his trademark bass-heavy Biasonics and true 21st century Soul.
JAPAN'S FINEST
Jazztronik is the name of Ryota Nozaki's project where he keeps a free style in making music with different musicians and singers. Being one of Japan's leading DJs, Ryota Nozaki's musical styles include, but are not limited to nu jazz and jazz house. As a producer, he has also written and arranged songs for Mondo Grosso, Taro Hakase, Bebe, Sandii, Miho Karasawa, Gospellers, and more. He has also remixed songs for artists including Bird, M-Flo, Modaji, London Elektricity (A.K.A.Izit), Yukihiro Fukutomi, Mika Nakashima. Nozaki started “Jazztronik” as a free-form music project, which grew viral with his major debut album, “Horizon”, in 2003. His track, "Samurai" became one of the biggest hits over the world.
HYPERDUB'S FIRST LADY
Sara Abdel-Hamid – aka Ikonika – is one of UK dubstep's sharpest talents. From the moment she exploded onto the scene with her stunning debut 12" for Hyperdub, Please I Simulacrum, it was clear that a singularly talented producer had arrived, and it immediately caused a lot of people to sit up and take notice. Armed with a formidable cache of intricately programmed bleeps, tough drum patterns that flirt with dubstep, house, R&B, juke and electro flavours, Ikonika finally touched down on Hyperdub with her debut LP "contact, love, want, have". From off kilter rhythms to melodic bliss, Hyperdub's first lady takes dubstep to uncharted waters without skipping a beat.
